19. Formal Translation For seven days no leaven shall be found in your houses; if anyone eats what is leavened, the soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether among the sojourner or among the native-born of the land. |
19. Dynamic Translation You must not have any leaven in your houses for seven days; anyone—foreigner or native-born—who eats leavened food must be excluded from the community of Israel. |
