| 20. Formal Translation And it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light to the night for these; and neither camp drew near the other all night. |
| 20. Dynamic Translation So the cloud moved between the Egyptian camp and the Israelite camp. One side was plunged into darkness while the other was lit for the night, and neither camp approached the other for the whole night. |
