| 19. Formal Translation And the angel of God {Elohim, Divine Protector} who was going before the camp of Israel set out and went behind them. And the pillar of cloud also set out from before them and stood behind them. |
| 19. Dynamic Translation Then the angel of God {Elohim, Heavenly Guide} who had been traveling in front of Israel’s camp withdrew and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from the front and stood behind them. |
