| 36. Formal Translation But if it is known that the bull was a habitual gorer from yesterday or the day before yesterday, and its owner did not guard it, he must pay bull for bull, and the dead animal will be his. |
| 36. Dynamic Translation If it turns out that the bull had gored in recent days, and its owner did not secure it, he must pay another bull in exchange, and the carcass belongs to him. |
