| 16. Formal Translation And if a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he must surely pay the bride-price and she shall be his wife. |
| 16. Dynamic Translation If a man persuades an unmarried girl who is not pledged and sleeps with her, he must pay the full bridal price and she shall become his wife. |
