Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Ezekiel 7:13:1 ⧉כִּ֣יkifor Ezekiel 7:13:2 ⧉הַמּוֹכֵ֗רhamokherthe seller Ezekiel 7:13:3 ⧉אֶל־הַמִּמְכָּר֙elhamimkarto the sale or to the thing sold Ezekiel 7:13:4 ⧉לֹ֣אlonot Ezekiel 7:13:5 ⧉יָשׁ֔וּבyashuvhe will return Ezekiel 7:13:6 ⧉וְע֥וֹדveodand still or while yet Ezekiel 7:13:7 ⧉בַּחַיִּ֖יםbakhayimin the living ones or among the living Ezekiel 7:13:8 ⧉חַיָּתָ֑םkhaiyatamtheir life Ezekiel 7:13:9 ⧉כִּֽי־חָז֤וֹןkikhazonfor a vision Ezekiel 7:13:10 ⧉אֶל־כָּל־הֲמוֹנָהּ֙elkolhamonato all her multitude Ezekiel 7:13:11 ⧉לֹ֣אlonot Ezekiel 7:13:12 ⧉יָשׁ֔וּבyashuvit will return Ezekiel 7:13:13 ⧉וְאִ֧ישׁveishand a man Ezekiel 7:13:14 ⧉בַּעֲוֺנ֛וֹbaavonoin his iniquity Ezekiel 7:13:15 ⧉חַיָּת֖וֹkhaiyatohis life Ezekiel 7:13:16 ⧉לֹ֥אlonot Ezekiel 7:13:17 ⧉יִתְחַזָּֽקוּ׃yitkhazzakuthey will strengthen themselves or they will hold fast |
13. Formal Translation For the seller shall not return to what has been sold, even while their lives are still among the living; for the vision is directed to the whole multitude and shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, no one shall preserve his life. |
13. Dynamic Translation The seller will not get back what they sold, even while they are still alive; because the vision applies to the entire crowd and will not change, and because of their guilt, no one will find the strength to stay alive. |
