Genesis 21:16:1וַתֵּלֶךְ֩vatelekh{And} she went
Genesis 21:16:2וַתֵּ֨שֶׁבvateshev{And} she sat Genesis 21:16:3לָ֜הּlahfor herself Genesis 21:16:4מִנֶּ֗גֶדminnegedopposite Genesis 21:16:5הַרְחֵק֙harkhekfar away Genesis 21:16:6כִּמְטַחֲוֵ֣יkimetakhaveilike the range of Genesis 21:16:7קֶ֔שֶׁתkesheta bow Genesis 21:16:8כִּ֣יkifor Genesis 21:16:9אֽ͏ָמְרָ֔הamrashe said Genesis 21:16:10אַל־אֶרְאֶ֖הalerelet me not see Genesis 21:16:11בְּמ֣וֹתbemotthe death of Genesis 21:16:12הַיָּ֑לֶדhayaledthe child Genesis 21:16:13וַתֵּ֣שֶׁבvateshev{And} she sat Genesis 21:16:14מִנֶּ֔גֶדminnegedopposite Genesis 21:16:15וַתִּשָּׂ֥אvatisa{And} she lifted up Genesis 21:16:16אֶת־קֹלָ֖הּetkolahher voice Genesis 21:16:17וַתֵּֽבְךְּ׃vattevk{And} she wept
16. Formal Translation
She went and sat down by herself, opposite, at a distance like the range of a bow, for she said, “Let me not see the death of the boy.” And she sat opposite and lifted her voice and wept.
16. Dynamic Translation
She walked away and sat down across from him, about a bowshot away, saying, “Let me not watch my son die.” Then she sat facing him, raised her voice, and wept.
