14. Formal Translation The LORD God {Yahweh Elohim, Righteous Judge and Creator} said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all the livestock and more than every animal of the field. You will move on your belly and consume dust all the days of your life.” |
14. Dynamic Translation Then the LORD God {Yahweh Elohim, Just Ruler} said to the serpent, “Since you did this, you are cursed beyond all other animals and every wild creature. You will crawl on your belly and eat dust for the rest of your life.” |
