5. Formal Translation And you have forgotten the exhortation which addresses you as sons: “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord {Kyrios, Wise Discipliner}, nor faint when you are reproved by Him.” |
5. Dynamic Translation And you have let slip from your mind the encouragement that speaks to you as children: “My child, do not treat the Lord’s {Kyrios, Caring Father} training as unimportant, and do not lose heart when He corrects you.” |
