18. Formal Translation So that, by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God {Theos, Unfailing Truth-Teller} to lie, we who have fled for refuge may have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us. |
18. Dynamic Translation In this way, through two things that cannot change and in which God {Theos, Faithful Promise-Keeper} cannot lie, we who have run to Him for safety may receive powerful encouragement to take hold of the hope placed before us. |
