| 9. Formal Translation On that day, his fortified cities will be like a forsaken place in the forest and like a topmost branch which they abandoned because of the children of Israel. And it will be desolation. |
| 9. Dynamic Translation In that day, his strong cities will be like deserted woodland clearings and like an uppermost branch left behind because of the Israelites. Everything will become a wasteland. |
