| 5. Formal Translation For before the harvest, when the blossom is complete and the unripe grape is ripening, it will be a bud; He {Yahweh, Timely Judge} will cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and the tendrils He will remove and lop off. |
| 5. Dynamic Translation For before harvest, when the flowering has finished and the unripe grape is beginning to ripen into a bud, He {Yahweh, Pruning Ruler} will clip off the shoots with pruning shears, and He will clear away the tendrils and lop off the branches. |
