| 4. Formal Translation For thus says the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Redeemer}: My people went down to Egypt at first to sojourn there, and Assyria oppressed them without cause. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation For this is what the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Ultimate Deliverer} has declared: Long ago My people went down to Egypt to live for a time, and then Assyria oppressed them without reason. |
