Isaiah 52:5:1וְעַתָּ֤הveataand now
Isaiah 52:5:2מי־לי־מַה־לִּי־פֹה֙milimalifowho is to me, what is to me, here Isaiah 52:5:3נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔הneumyahwehdeclaration of the LORD Isaiah 52:5:4כִּֽי־לֻקַּ֥חkilukakhfor is taken Isaiah 52:5:5עַמִּ֖יamimy people Isaiah 52:5:6חִנָּ֑םkhinamfor nothing or without cause Isaiah 52:5:7משלוmeshlohis ruler or its ruler Isaiah 52:5:8מֹשְׁלָ֤יוmoshelavhis rulers Isaiah 52:5:9יְהֵילִ֙ילוּ֙yeheililuthey wail or they howl Isaiah 52:5:10נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔הneumyahwehdeclaration of the LORD Isaiah 52:5:11וְתָמִ֥ידvetamidand continually Isaiah 52:5:12כָּל־הַיּ֖וֹםkalhayomall the day Isaiah 52:5:13שְׁמִ֥יshemimy name Isaiah 52:5:14מִנֹּאָּֽץ׃minoatsis despised or is spurned
5. Formal Translation
And now, what have I here? declares the LORD {Yahweh, Compassionate Judge}. My people have been taken away for nothing; their rulers make them wail, declares the LORD. And continually, all day long, My name is blasphemed.
5. Dynamic Translation
So now, what do I have here? My people have been taken away for nothing, and their rulers make them wail, declares the LORD {Yahweh, Avenging Sovereign}. My name is insulted all day long.
