Isaiah 62TAB

Because of Zion I {YHWH, Promise Keeper} will not be silent, and because of Jerusalem I will not be still, until her righteousness shines out like brightness {nogah: Radiant Glow}, and her salvation blazes like a torch.

The nations will behold your righteousness {tsidkeikh: just character}, and every monarch will discern your glory; you will be granted a new name that the mouth of the LORD {YHWH, Giver of Names} will pronounce.

You will be like a crown of glory held in the hand of the LORD {YHWH, Honor Bestower}, and like a royal diadem resting in the palm of your God {Elohim, Majestic King}.

No longer will it be said to you, “Forsaken,” and to your land, “Desolate.” Instead you will be called “Hephzibah” {chefzi-vah: delight in her}, and your land “Beulah”; for the LORD {YHWH, Covenant Restorer} delights in you, and your land will be married.

For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God {Eloheikh, Joyful Redeemer} will rejoice over you {alayikh: with delight}.

On your walls, Jerusalem, I have stationed watchmen {shomrim: guardians}; all day and all night they will never be silent. You who make mention of the LORD {YHWH, Covenant Defender}, take no rest.

Do not give Him {YHWH, City Restorer} rest {domi: pause or silence} until He establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.

The LORD {YHWH, Promise Keeper} has sworn by His right hand and by His strong arm: “Never again will I hand over your grain {deganekh: harvested yield} as food for your enemies, and foreigners will not drink your new wine for which you have labored.”

Those who gather it will eat it and praise the LORD {YHWH, Praise Recipient}; those who bring it in will drink it in the courts of My holy place {kodshi: Sacred Presence}.

Go out—go out through the gates {shearim: city entrances}; prepare the people’s road; raise up—raise up the highway; clear away the stones; lift up a banner {nes: rally sign} over the peoples.

Look, the LORD {YHWH, Universal Herald} has made proclamation to the end of the earth: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your salvation {yish'a: deliverance} is coming; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense {pe'ulah: what is accomplished} goes before Him.’”

They will name them “the holy people, the redeemed of the LORD {YHWH, Covenant Restorer},” and you will be known as “Sought Out {derushah: deeply desired}, a city not forsaken.”
