Jeremiah 14:17:1וְאָמַרְתָּ֤veamartaand you shall say
Jeremiah 14:17:2אֲלֵיהֶם֙alehemto them Jeremiah 14:17:3אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣רethadavar{direct object} the word Jeremiah 14:17:4הַזֶּ֔הhazethis Jeremiah 14:17:5תֵּרַ֨דְנָהteradnalet {them} run down Jeremiah 14:17:6עֵינַ֥יenaimy eyes Jeremiah 14:17:7דִּמְעָ֛הdimaa tear Jeremiah 14:17:8לַ֥יְלָהlailanight Jeremiah 14:17:9וְיוֹמָ֖םveyomamand by day Jeremiah 14:17:10וְאַל־תִּדְמֶ֑ינָהvealtidmenaand let them not be still or cease Jeremiah 14:17:11כִּי֩kifor Jeremiah 14:17:12שֶׁ֨בֶרshevera fracture or breaking Jeremiah 14:17:13גָּד֜וֹלgadolgreat Jeremiah 14:17:14נִשְׁבְּרָ֗הnishberashe is broken or shattered Jeremiah 14:17:15בְּתוּלַת֙betulatvirgin {of} or maiden {of} Jeremiah 14:17:16בַּת־עַמִּ֔יbatamidaughter of my people Jeremiah 14:17:17מַכָּ֖הmakaa blow or wound Jeremiah 14:17:18נַחְלָ֥הnakhlasick or grievous Jeremiah 14:17:19מְאֹֽד׃meodvery
17. Formal Translation
And you shall say to them this word: "Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease, for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow."
17. Dynamic Translation
Say to them this word: "May tears stream from my eyes day and night without ceasing, because the virgin daughter of my people has been shattered by a terrible calamity, stricken with a severe wound."
