Formal Translation And it shall be, when you declare all these words to this people, that they will say to you, “Why has the LORD {Yahweh, Judge and Proclaimer} declared all this great evil against us? What is our iniquity{avonenu: guilt, moral perversity}, and what is our sin which we have sinned against the LORD our God?” |
| 10. Dynamic Translation When you speak all these words to the people, they will ask you, “Why has the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Accuser} brought such a terrible disaster upon us? What wrongdoing is ours, and what sin have we committed against the LORD our God?” |
