Formal Translation And you shall say to them, “Because your fathers have forsaken Me,” declares the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}, “and have gone after other gods, and have served and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken, and My law {torah: instruction, covenant teaching} they have not kept.” |
| 11. Dynamic Translation Tell them, “It is because your ancestors abandoned Me,” says the LORD {Yahweh, Ultimate Authority}, “and followed other gods, serving and worshiping them. They have turned away from Me and did not obey My law.” |
