I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Thank you that in you God gives grace and truth. I confess you as Lord, receive me by your mercy, and lead my life. Amen.

Receive the Gift in Christ

Lord, revive your Church to live from Jesus Christ and not from cold religion or self-importance. Where we have become harsh, make us gracious; where we have become vague, make us truthful; where we have depended on our own effort, draw us back to your Son. Awaken us to carry his life into the world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church People of Grace and Truth

Father, thank you that what your law could point toward, you have given in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your kindness and truth together in him, and for the mercy of receiving both. Teach my heart to rest in what you have done, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for What Comes Through Jesus

Pray by naming one area where you tend to choose blunt truth without love or kindness without honesty. Ask God to shape your words, motives, and actions through Jesus Christ so that grace and truth meet in you.

Pray for Honest Kindness

Pray for people who feel crushed by religious performance, for those who have only known judgment, and for those who need to discover God's kindness and truth through Jesus Christ.

For Those Burdened by Rules

Bring to God your desire to stop proving yourself, to receive his favor, and to become a person who speaks truth with gentleness and lives with integrity.
