He was only present after the world was already underway

He was already alongside God at the start of everything

He first became close to God much later in history

He was sent to God after creation finished

Treat him as a wise teacher, but not as someone to shape your whole life

Keep his words for special occasions, not daily decisions

Let his priority set the way you live and choose this week

Wait until everything is clear before you let the verse matter

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you were with God from the beginning, and I come to you in need. I admit that I have sinned and cannot make myself right with God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Come into my life, lead me, and make me yours. Amen.

Receive the One Who Was with God

Lord, revive your Church with a fresh awe that your Son was with you from the beginning. Pull us out of spiritual sleep, free us from treating Jesus as secondary, and restore first love, humble trust, and joyful worship. Make your people live as those who belong to the One who has always been with you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Your Church to Your Eternal Son

Thank God that Christ was not a late arrival, but was already with him from the start. Give thanks for the comfort that his presence is older than your fears and steadier than changing seasons.

Thankful for Christ's Steady Presence

Pray by naming one decision you are facing. Ask God to help you remember that Christ was already with him at the start, then ask for the next faithful step.

Praise God for the mystery and greatness of the Son who was there with him from the beginning. Worship him for his nearness, his steadiness, and his place with the Father.

Pray for a friend, family member, or neighbor who feels far from God. Ask that they would meet the Christ who was already with God at the start, and find comfort in his nearness.
