He is the source through whom everything came to be

Everything began without any source beyond itself

He made only part of creation, while the rest came from elsewhere

Everything that exists owes its coming-to-be to him

Nothing in creation came into being apart from him

Some created things were made outside his involvement

The claim is limited to only a portion of reality

Treat created things with gratitude, care, and humility

Use creation mainly for personal advantage, since it owes you nothing

Set ordinary life aside, because only spiritual matters matter

Assume your own effort is the ultimate source of what you have

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you are the one through whom all things came to be, and I confess that I have sinned and tried to live apart from you. I turn from my sin and need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Be my Lord and Savior, and lead my life from this day forward. Amen.

Receive the One Through Whom All Things Exist

Lord, revive your Church with fresh wonder that all things exist through you. Break our pride, free us from self-sufficiency, and make us a people of humility, gratitude, and reverent care for what you have made. Awaken us to honor you in every part of life, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Up Your People to Worship the Creator

Father, thank you that nothing exists apart from your wise creating. Thank you for life, breath, beauty, work, and every gift that comes from your hand. Teach me to receive creation with gratitude and to praise you as its source, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Every Good Gift

Name one thing you can see or use today, and pray over it: thank God for bringing it into being, ask for humility in how you use it, and ask for grace to treat it as his gift rather than your possession.

Pray Over One Created Gift

Pray for people who build, study, grow food, make art, and care for the earth: that they would honor Christ as the source of all things, work with wisdom, and serve with gratitude.

For Workers, Makers, and Caretakers

Bring these to God: places where you rely on yourself instead of him; a desire to steward time, money, and strength well; and a willingness to live as a dependent creature under the Creator's care.

Freed from Self-Made Pride
