Listen carefully and compare it with Scripture before accepting it

Assume it is right because the group has religious authority

Reject it immediately because all religious leaders are untrustworthy

Focus mainly on whether the messengers have the highest status

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot save myself. I turn from my sin and from trusting human religion more than you. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to forgive me, lead me, and make me yours. Amen.

Come to Jesus, Not Mere Religion

Lord, revive your Church. Where we have leaned on titles, status, or appearances, bring humility and truth. Make us a people who are truly sent by you, listening for your voice and speaking faithfully to a confused world. Wake us up again, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church With Truth

Father, help me not to trust a message merely because it comes with religious backing. Give me a humble, alert mind, and show me what is true. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one voice, sermon, post, or teaching you need to evaluate. Ask God to show what is true, what is missing, and what you should do next.

Pray for Discernment

Give thanks for every faithful teacher, for the gift of discernment, and for God's willingness to guide you beyond appearances.

Give Thanks for Clear Guidance

Bring these to God: a teachable spirit, patience before judging, and courage to let truth reshape your assumptions about authority.

Grow a Teachable Heart
