Come to the Shepherd

Lord, revive your Church with the heart of Jesus. Where we have been self-protective, make us self-giving; where we have overlooked the vulnerable, make us watchful and tender; where we have loved comfort more than people, teach us costly compassion. Make us a people who care like the Good Shepherd, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Shepherding Church

Father, thank you for sending Jesus, the shepherd who does not abandon the flock. Thank you that his care is not distant but costly, and that his life is given for our good. Teach my heart to rest in his faithful protection, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for the Shepherd Who Gives Himself

Name one fear, burden, or place where you feel exposed. Ask Jesus to shepherd you there, then ask for one simple act of trust you can take today.

Pray for Trust Under His Care

Pray for: people who feel unprotected or overlooked; caregivers who are weary; leaders who must guard others with wisdom; and a church that notices and serves vulnerable people with sacrificial love.

For the Vulnerable and Their Caregivers

Lord, shape my heart after your own. Free me from selfishness and fear; teach me to notice the weak, to move toward need instead of away from it, and to love in ways that cost me something. Make me faithful in small acts of care, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
