Gather Me to You

Lord, revive your Church to be faithful and present when danger comes. Deliver us from fear, convenience, and self-protection; teach us to stay with the vulnerable, to guard one another, and to love with courage. Awaken us to shepherd well in a hurting world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Steady

Father, thank you that your care is not like the worker who runs away. Thank you that you know your people, keep watch over them, and do not abandon the vulnerable. Teach me to trust your faithful care, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Faithful Care

Father, for anyone who has been abandoned, exposed, or scattered, draw near with your care. Give protection, steady comfort, and the assurance that you do not run from the vulnerable, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Who Feel Left Behind

Pray by naming one responsibility or relationship you might be tempted to avoid. Ask God for courage to stay, wisdom to notice danger early, and grace to protect others before protecting yourself.

Pray to Stay

Pray for people who carry responsibility for others: pastors, parents, mentors, teachers, and friends. Ask God to make them steady, attentive, and willing to bear cost so the people entrusted to them are not left alone.
