Keep showing up only while the work is easy and appreciated.

Speak concern, but step back once the situation becomes costly.

Stay with them and keep caring, even when it costs you.

Protect your own comfort first, even if others are left exposed.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have sinned and lived for myself, and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and trust you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Gather me into your care and lead my life from this day on. Amen.

Gather Me to Your Care

Lord, revive your Church so we do not act like workers who leave when care becomes costly. Make us steady, compassionate, and faithful to those entrusted to us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Faithful

Father, when I have been left by someone who should have cared, comfort me with your steady presence. Heal the hurt, quiet bitterness, and remind me that your care does not fail, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For the One Left Alone

Pray by naming one person or responsibility you are tempted to avoid, asking God for courage to stay when it is inconvenient, and asking for one concrete act of care you can do today.

Pray for Steady Care

Bring these to God: places where you have served only for reward, moments when you pulled away from responsibility, and any excuse you use to protect your comfort instead of caring for others.

Father, thank you for the people who have stayed, helped, and cared without running away. Thank you for every glimpse of faithful, steady care that points beyond human limits to your own heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
