Revive Our Compassion

Lord, when grief feels heavy, remind me that Jesus is not distant from tears. Sit close to me in my pain, steady my heart, and give me peace that does not depend on easy answers, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Near in My Sorrow

Pray by naming the grieving person, asking Jesus to help you be present, and asking for words that comfort rather than fix. Then pray for one practical act of care you can offer.

How to Pray With a Grieving Person

Thank God for the compassion of Jesus; thank him that tears are not ignored; thank him that sorrow is something he understands; thank him that his nearness can meet human pain.

Pray for: a person who is grieving right now; gentle friends who will stay close; practical help at the right moment; and hearts that learn to share sorrow without fear.
