4. Formal Translation After hearing it, Jesus {Iesous, Purpose-Aware Lord} said, “This illness is not on course for death, but for the glory of God {Theos, Glory Recipient}, so that the Son of God {huios tou theou, Destined For Glory} may be glorified through it.” |
4. Dynamic Translation Upon hearing this, Jesus {Iesous, Purpose-Declaring Lord} said, “This sickness is not destined for death; instead, it serves the glory of God {Theos, Glory Aim}, so that the Son of God {huios tou theou, Glory-Receiving Son} may be glorified through it.” |
