Exegesis
The adverbial temporal phrase eti mikron chronon {ἔτι μικρὸν χρόνον | é-ti mi-kròn khró-non} ‘yet a little time’ is fronted to heighten urgency, before introducing the subject–verb–complement sequence to phos en humin estin {τὸ φῶς ἐν ὑμῖν ἐστιν | tò phôs en hu-mîn é-stin} ‘the light is among you’.
It is qualified by the temporal clause heos to phos echete {ἕως τὸ φῶς ἔχετε | hé-ōs tò phôs é-khe-te} ‘while you have the light’, where the conjunction heos sets a time limit on the commanded walking, and the present indicative echete underscores the current, but not permanent, possession of the light.
