1. Formal Translation
Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus {Iesous, Self-Giving Lord}, aware that His hour had come to depart from this world to the Father {pater, Welcoming Father}, having loved His own who were in the world, continued to love them until the very end.
1. Dynamic Translation
Just before the Passover feast, Jesus {Iesous, Faithful Teacher} realized that the time was at hand for Him to go from this world to the Father {pater, Guiding Father}. He had loved His own in the world, and He loved them all the way to the end.
