A person who has been fully washed needs another full bath.

A person who has been fully washed still needs the feet cleaned.

He says only one person in the group is clean.

He says they are clean, but not every person in the group.

Keep bringing the small, lingering places of life to God.

Assume one cleansing moment removes any later need for honesty.

Focus mainly on appearing clean so others feel reassured.

Ignore the smaller issues because the larger problem has been solved.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot make myself clean. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Wash me, make me yours, and lead me in a new life. Amen.

Wash Me Clean

Lord, revive your Church with honesty before you. Keep us from settling for outward cleanliness while our hearts stay careless. Make us humble, pure, and quick to serve one another with love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your People

Father, thank you that Jesus makes people clean and does not leave us with only surface work. Thank you for the grace that covers us, and for the ongoing mercy that keeps cleansing the small places in us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Making Us Clean

Father, I confess that I sometimes want to look clean without letting you touch the hidden places. Forgive me for caring more about appearances than truth. Clean me deeply and make my heart honest before you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Forgive My Pretending

Pray by naming one small area of life that still needs God's touch, asking him to cleanse it, and asking for grace to stay teachable and responsive rather than defensive.

Keep Cleansing What Remains
