Learn the truth mainly so you can explain it to others

Wait until you feel fully ready before obeying

Admire the truth without changing your habits

Put into practice what you already understand

Keep learning first and delay obedience until later

Talk about the teaching often, even if it never changes your choices

Wait for a stronger feeling before you act

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and have not lived as I should. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for my sins and rose again. Lord, awaken your church not just to hear your word, but to practice it. Where we have settled for knowledge without obedience, stir repentance; where we have grown passive, kindle action; where we have become content with learning, bring us back to faithful living. Make us a people whose lives show your truth, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, thank you that you do not leave me only with information, but invite me into blessing as I practice your truth. Give me joy in obedience and a steady heart to live what I know, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, forgive me for the times I have known what is right and still held back. I turn from excuses and ask for a willing spirit to do what you show me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
