He is waiting for someone else to confirm it

That he is only a messenger for someone else

That his followers must identify him by guessing

Belief is meant to follow once it happens

The listeners are told to remain silent until afterward

Tell people honestly ahead of time when something important will affect them

Wait until the last minute so they cannot prepare

Give a vague hint and leave out the part that matters most

Stay silent until everything is already over

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as Lord. You spoke truth before it happened, and I want to trust you as the One. Come into my life, forgive me, and lead me from this day on. Amen.

Trust the One Who Speaks First

Lord, revive your Church to trust your word before we see the outcome. Make us a people who listen closely, believe quickly, and speak truth with courage. Wake up faith where we have grown slow and doubtful, and show the world again that you are the One, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Our Trust in Your Word

Pray by naming one area where you are waiting for proof. Ask God to steady your heart with Jesus' words, then ask for the grace to trust him before the outcome is visible.

Help Me Believe Before I See

Bring these thanks to God: that Jesus does not leave his followers in the dark; that his word can prepare the heart before events unfold; that faith can grow as his promises are fulfilled.

Thank You for Speaking Ahead of Time

Pray for someone who is waiting on an uncertain result, that they would hear Christ's words as steady ground; pray for courage to be honest with them; pray that their faith would not collapse while they wait.

For Those Facing Uncertainty

Father, teach me to speak with honesty and care before problems become emergencies. Keep me from hiding what others need to know, and help me prepare people with truth and love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
