If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned and lived by my own way. I turn from my sin and ask for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I trust that you came from the Father and that your words are true. Come into my life, be my Lord, and lead me in your way. Amen.

Receive the Son in Trust

Lord, revive your Church to trust the words of Jesus and to live from your presence rather than from ourselves. Where we have spoken for our own sake, humble us. Where we have depended on our own strength, let your works be seen again. Make us a people who carry your truth with confidence and obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Trust

Father, thank you that Jesus does not speak from himself but from your life in him. Thank you that his words reveal your heart and that your works are present in him. Help me receive his teaching with gratitude and trust, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Jesus' True Words

Father, when I feel uncertain, remind me that Jesus is not distant from you and you are not distant from him. Let your nearness steady my heart and keep me from fear. Teach me to rest in the confidence that you are at work, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Comfort in Your Nearness

Pray by naming one area where you tend to rely on your own words, plans, or strength. Ask the Father to help you trust Jesus' words there, and then choose one obedient step you can take today.

Pray for Trust and One Step

Bring these before God: a desire to listen carefully to Jesus; a habit of resisting self-reliance; willingness to let the Father's work shape your actions; courage to speak and live from communion with God.
