That believer will also do Jesus-like works

That believer will never have any struggle

That believer will only admire Jesus from a distance

That believer will no longer need to trust Jesus

Believers will do the same kind of works Jesus does

Believers will do works that go beyond those

The promise is linked to Jesus heading to the Father

Only people with outstanding spiritual status can receive it

Keep trusting Jesus and step into the good works he gives

Wait until you feel exceptional before you serve

Assume the promise is only about Jesus, not ordinary believers

Try to prove your greatness by doing bigger things than everyone else

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I cannot make myself right with God. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Savior and Lord. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Please lead my life, teach me to trust you, and make me yours. Amen.

Receive Jesus in Faith

Lord, revive your Church to trust Jesus deeply and to do the works that come from him. Wake us from fear and self-reliance, and send us out in humble obedience. Make us a people whose lives show your power, your mercy, and your greater work in the world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Do Your Works

Pray by naming one place where you need courage, ask the Father to help you believe Jesus' promise, and ask for one clear act of service or mercy you can carry out today.

Ask for One Step of Faith

Bring these before God: weak trust, fear of being too small, desire for greater fruit, and willingness to let Jesus work through ordinary obedience.

Grow Us in Trust

Pray for: a person who needs encouragement; a door to do a quiet work of mercy; and that someone would encounter Jesus' care through your life.

For Someone to See Jesus at Work

Father, thank you that Jesus invites believers to join his work by faith. Thank you that you can use ordinary people for kingdom work beyond what they imagine. Make me grateful, ready, and faithful, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
