He will come back and gather them to himself

He will stay away until they find the place on their own

He will send someone else to lead them there

He will leave the place ready but let the outcome be uncertain

Live faithfully now with steady hope, while keeping ordinary responsibilities

Put ordinary responsibilities aside because the future will handle itself

Try to secure your welcome by proving you are worthy enough

Treat the promise as only a comforting idea that changes nothing

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned and I cannot bring myself home to God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, receive me, and take me to yourself. Amen.

Bring Me to Yourself

Lord, awaken your Church to live in the light of your promised return. Where we have grown sleepy, make us watchful; where we have grown anxious, make us steady; where we have settled for less than your presence, draw us back to yourself. Renew our hope, and teach us to live as people who are waiting to be gathered to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Up Your People to Your Return

Father, when I feel uncertain about the future, remind me that you are preparing a place for me and will not forget me. Calm my heart, steady my steps, and help me rest in the hope that I will be with you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace While I Wait

Name one area where waiting feels hard. Ask Jesus to remind you that he will come back for you. Then ask for one faithful step you can take today while you wait.

Pray the Waiting

Thank God for preparing a place for his people; thank him that his welcome is personal and close; thank him that his promise gives hope for the future.

Thank You for a Place and a Welcome

Pray for someone who feels far from home, for someone grieving separation, and for someone anxious about what comes next. Ask God to give them comfort, steady hope, and a sense that they are not forgotten.
