They still need a different path to the Father.

They can know the Father only after perfect performance.

Knowing Jesus and knowing the Father are unrelated.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, because he reveals the Father.

Look past Jesus and rely mainly on private spiritual impressions.

Wait for a different sign from God before taking Jesus seriously.

Treat Jesus as useful, but not essential for knowing God.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and tried to know God on my own. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for my sins and rose again. I believe you are Lord, and I receive you into my life. Open my eyes to know the Father through you and to follow you with my whole heart. Amen.

Know You and the Father

Lord, revive your Church so we do not settle for knowing about you while missing your heart. Give us fresh love for Jesus, clear sight of the Father, and lives that help the world see God more truly through Christ. Wake us up again, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Reveal the Father

Father, when you feel distant or hard to understand, remind me that Jesus reveals you. Help me trust what Christ shows me about your heart, and give me peace as I learn to rest in your nearness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

When God Feels Far

Pray by naming one teaching, scene, or word of Jesus that you want to look at closely. Ask God to show you what it reveals about the Father, then ask for one simple act of obedience today.

Pray for Clear Sight of Jesus

Bring thanks for: Jesus making the Father known; moments when God has already become clearer to you; the gift of seeing God's heart in Christ; humility to keep learning from Jesus.

Thanks for Making God Known

Pray for yourself and others who are unsure what God is like: a hunger to look to Jesus first, courage to let him correct false ideas, and grace to walk in the light already given.
