Love is optional if relationships are already strong

Choose a costly act that seeks another person's good

Wait until kindness feels easy and natural

Limit love to friendly words and avoid sacrifice

Keep your distance unless someone earns your care

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and failed to love as you command. I need your mercy and your saving love. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. I confess you as Lord and ask you to make me new, so I can receive your love and share it with others. Amen.

Receive the Love of Christ

Lord, revive your Church with the love of Christ. Forgive our coldness, pride, and division. Teach us to put one another first, to serve without envy, and to love in the same way Jesus has loved us. Let our communities become places where your command is visible and your presence is known, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Love Like You

Thank God for loving you before you could obey, for giving a command that comes with an example, and for making real community love possible through Jesus. Thank him that his love is humble, costly, and not merely spoken.

Thank You for Loving First

Pray by naming one relationship where your love feels thin, then ask Jesus to show you how he has loved you in that same place. Ask for a softer heart, steadier patience, and courage to act on love before the day ends.

Pray for Christlike Love

Lord, where your people are separated by hurt, suspicion, or pride, bring us back to one another. Give us humility to apologize, grace to forgive, and strength to seek the good of others. Make us a community marked by love that looks like Jesus' love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Heal Divisions Among Us

Pray over these: one believer you need to love more faithfully; one practical act of service you can offer; one difficult conversation where gentleness is needed; one place where you need help to love as Jesus has loved you.
