Someone who starts strongly but continues independently

Someone who stays in Jesus, with Jesus also staying in that person

Someone who works hard enough to produce results alone

Jesus is the vine and the followers are the branches

Staying connected to Jesus leads to abundant fruit

Without Jesus, a person cannot do anything

Independent self-sufficiency is the source of lasting fruit

Regularly turn to Jesus in prayer, listen to his word, and obey what he shows you

Focus on outward results first, trusting your connection will sort itself out later

Keep a spiritual routine only when it is convenient and public

Try to force visible success through effort, even when your relationship with Christ is neglected

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have tried to live apart from you, and I admit my sin and need. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord, and I ask you to bring me into your life so that my life can bear fruit in you. Amen.

Come into My Life and Make Me Fruitful

Father, revive your Church to stop striving in self-reliance and to live in close union with Christ. Restore prayer, obedience, humility, and steady dependence on Jesus among your people. Let our lives bear fruit that lasts because we stay near your Son, and make us fruitful for your glory, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Abide

Lord Jesus, keep me close to you today. When I feel busy, dry, or distracted, draw me back to prayer, your word, and simple obedience. Let your life move through me so that what I do truly bears fruit, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
