The disciples will keep seeing him as before.

Come to Jesus for Righteousness

Lord, revive your Church to seek the righteousness that comes from you, not from appearances or self-made worth. Where we have grown comfortable with outward religion, awaken us to trust you, obey you, and live with holy integrity. Teach us to walk by faith when we do not see you as we wish, and make us a people who point others to the Father. in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in True Righteousness

Name one place where you want clear proof before you obey. Ask Jesus for courage to trust his word, then ask for one practical act of obedience you can take today.

Pray for Trust Without Sight

Thank God that Jesus goes to the Father, that his right standing is real, and that his words remain trustworthy even when he is no longer seen. Thank him that faith does not depend on sight.

Thank You for the Way to the Father

Bring these to God: your tendency to depend on appearances; your desire to be right before him; your need to trust Jesus when you cannot see him; and your longing to live with quiet integrity.

Living by Trust

Lord, when I cannot see Jesus with my eyes, steady my heart with trust. Keep me from panic, from self-justifying, and from acting as though your nearness depends on what I can measure. Teach me to rest in your righteousness and to follow you faithfully. in the name of Jesus. Amen.
