He invents a new message from his own ideas

He keeps the message hidden until people earn it

Receive his truth humbly and pass it on faithfully

Keep it private until you feel more certain

Use it mainly to show that you know more than others

Treat it as optional and wait for a different source

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from trusting myself. I believe you died for me and rose again. I receive you as Lord and ask you to fill my life with the truth that comes from the Father. Lead me in your way and make me yours. Amen.

Receive Jesus as Lord

Lord, revive your Church to receive from Jesus with humility and to speak faithfully what he makes known. Free us from pride, secrecy, and empty words. Make us eager listeners, clear witnesses, and people who pass on your truth with love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church to Hear and Speak

Father, thank you that Jesus does not keep your truth hidden from us. Thank you that he shares what is his and makes it known to his people. Help me receive his words with gratitude and respond with faithfulness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Revealing the Father's Heart

Pray by naming one area where you need Jesus to make the Father's truth clear. Ask him to show you what is his, to help you trust what you hear, and to guide your next step today.

Pray for Clarity in One Area

Bring these to God: someone who feels confused about spiritual truth; someone who needs to trust Jesus more deeply; people who have heard the gospel but have not yet received it with faith.

For Others to Hear Jesus Clearly

Bring these to God: pride that wants to know without receiving; fear that keeps you from trusting Jesus; a desire to listen first and speak faithfully after you have heard him.
