People must earn God’s favor through effort

People are guilty only when they break one visible rule

It says unbelief in Jesus is the reason given.

It says sin is mainly about outward rule-breaking.

It says people only need more data before they can respond.

Return to trust in Jesus rather than leaning on outward religion

Keep religion outwardly right while trust stays secondary

Wait until every doubt is gone before you believe

Treat unbelief as harmless if life looks decent

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I have not trusted you as I should. I turn from my sin now and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to lead my life from unbelief into faith. Thank you for receiving me. Amen.

Trusting Jesus

Lord, revive your Church where unbelief has dulled our witness and hidden our need for you. Make us honest about sin, quick to repent, and eager to trust Jesus above every other hope. Wake us up again to the life that comes through faith in him, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, I confess the places where I have resisted trusting Jesus. I have often acted as if self-reliance could heal what only he can heal. Forgive me, turn my heart back to him, and teach me to believe with greater simplicity, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one place where trust feels weak, asking God to show you how unbelief may be shaping your choices, and asking him for one clear next step of faith today.

Pray Through One Area of Doubt

Pray for a person you know who is skeptical or resistant: that God would soften their heart, uncover the real issue beneath their questions, and draw them to faith in Jesus.

For Someone Far from Trust

Give thanks that Jesus names the root problem plainly and does not leave us guessing. Thank God that he exposes unbelief so he can heal it, and that faith in Christ is the answer he offers.
