One removes Jesus from the notice; the other keeps him unnamed

One changes the location of the event; the other changes the speaker

One turns the statement into praise; the other turns it into a command

Speak clearly about Jesus even if it is uncomfortable

Keep the statement vague so nobody objects

Let public opinion decide how Jesus should be described

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have sinned and tried to rule my own life. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and King. Lead me in your truth from this day forward. Amen.

Receive the True King

Father, revive your Church to honor Jesus openly and without fear. Forgive us for every time we have softened his identity to avoid conflict. Make us truthful, humble, and brave, so our words and lives point to Christ clearly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew the Church's Witness

Bring before God any place where you have shrunk Jesus to fit in, any fear of people that makes you vague, and any habit of choosing comfort over truth. Ask for a cleaner confession of who he is.

Where I Have Softened the Truth

Pray by naming one conversation where you need courage, then ask God for words that are both clear and gracious. Ask him to keep you honest about Jesus and free you from the need to sound safe.

Clear Speech in Hard Places

Pray for leaders, teachers, and public voices who shape what others hear. Ask God to keep them from distorting Jesus for convenience, and to give them reverence, accuracy, and integrity when they speak.

For Leaders and Public Voices

Thank God that human pressure cannot change who Jesus is. Praise him that he remains King even when people argue, hesitate, or try to edit the story. Give thanks for a reign that is steady and worthy of open confession.
