The spatial phrase eis ta dexia mere tou ploiou {εἰς τὰ δεξιὰ μέρη τοῦ πλοίου | eis tà dexià mérē tou ploíou} narrows the action to a precise location; the plural mere is idiomatic and still points to a single side of the boat.
