In translation, the Greek order—setting → subject → verb of belief → object of belief → causal phrase → reported testimony—has been preserved by keeping “many of the Samaritans” as the explicit subject, using “believed in Him” for eis auton, and rendering the participial phrase with a relative clause “the woman who was bearing witness,” followed by the quoted content of her testimony.
