Each group is expressed by an articular participial construction: hoi ta agatha poiēsantes {οἱ τὰ ἀγαθὰ ποιήσαντες | hoi tá a-ga-thá poi-ḗ-san-tes} “those who have done the good things” and hoi de ta phaula praxantes {οἱ δὲ τὰ φαῦλα πράξαντες | hoi dé tá phaû-la prá-xan-tes} “but those who have practiced the evil things.” The articles hoi with the aorist participles poiēsantes and praxantes substantivize the participles, turning descriptions of action into designations of people characterized by those actions.
