Make the messenger the center of attention

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have followed my own way and not your truth. I confess my sin and my need for mercy. I believe you died for me and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Lead me in your truth from this day on. Amen.

Come to the Truth

Lord, revive your Church to bear clear witness. Where we have been vague, fearful, or self-protective, make us faithful. Send us out with humility, courage, and love, so our words point people to you and to what is true, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church a Clear Witness

Thank You for John’s faithful witness. Thank You that truth is not hidden and that you raise up people who point others toward it. Help us receive such witness with gratitude and a ready heart.

Grateful for Faithful Witness

Pray by naming one area where you are unsure what is true. Ask God to show you what is reliable, to expose what is false, and to give you courage to follow his truth.

Pray for Clarity

Father, give me courage to point others toward what is true without pride or fear. Keep my words honest, humble, and kind, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Help Me Speak Clearly

Bring these to God: people who need to hear the truth; hearts that can receive correction; and conversations where honesty leads to life.
