Doing what is right even if nobody notices

Doing good only when it will be recognized

Letting other people's praise decide whether you obey

Avoiding service so no one can question your motives

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and often chased the praise of people more than your approval. I turn from my sin and from living for human applause. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to receive me and lead me. Amen.

Receive the One Who Seeks God's Glory

Lord, revive your Church from the need to be praised by people. Free us from performing for applause, and make us faithful when no one notices. Let our lives point to your honor rather than our own, and renew us with holy courage and humility, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Free Your Church from the Need to Be Seen

Thank God for Jesus' freedom from human approval; thank him for the example of humble faithfulness; thank him that our worth does not depend on applause.

Thanks for Jesus' Humble Way

Father, I confess that I often care too much about what others think. Forgive me for seeking honor from people instead of from you. Turn my heart back to humble obedience, and teach me to serve even when no one notices, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Release My Need for Praise

Pray by naming one place where you feel pressure to impress others. Ask God to help you do the right thing there for his sake, not for recognition, and to give you peace when people do not notice.

Pray for Freedom from Approval

Pray for: believers who work unseen; leaders tempted by praise; hearts that are content to be known by God rather than admired by people.

Hidden Faithfulness
