If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned by trusting my own wisdom and going my own way. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Teach me by the truth that comes from the Father, and lead my life from now on. Amen.

Receive the One Sent by God

Lord, revive your Church so we stop speaking from pride and start listening to the teaching you have given through Jesus. Make us humble, obedient, and faithful to your word. Let our congregations be marked by truth that comes from you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Your Word

Give thanks for Jesus' words that come from the Father; for a Savior who teaches with clarity and authority; and for the gift of knowing truth that does not depend on our own opinions.

Thank You for Jesus' Trustworthy Teaching

Pray by naming one place where you rely too quickly on your own judgment. Ask God to make Jesus' words weightier than your preferences, and ask for one concrete step of obedience today.

Pray for a Teachable Heart

Father, help teachers, parents, pastors, and friends speak faithfully about you. Keep us from using your truth for our own reputation, and give us grace to pass on what is from you with humility, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring these to God: a stubborn opinion you need to yield; a desire to trust Jesus' teaching more than your feelings; a willingness to learn before speaking; and a heart that welcomes correction.
