Father, thank you that your Son brings wholeness without setting aside your holy will. Thank you for the mercy that restores people and shows the goodness of your law. Teach me to give you thanks by doing the same, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring these before God: any time you have chosen being right over being kind; any habit of judging others before understanding them; any place where you have called compassion weakness. Ask God to forgive you and to shape a softer, truer obedience.

Confessing Harshness

Name one decision where you feel tension between a rule and a person’s good. Ask God to show you how to honor him without ignoring the person in front of you. Then ask for one clear next step that serves both truth and mercy.

Pray for Wise Obedience

Pray for someone who needs healing in body, mind, or relationships; for patience in the people around them; and for God to bring real wholeness where there has been pain, fear, or delay.
