Receive Jesus and His Life

Lord, awaken your Church again. Make us a people who truly believe in Jesus, who welcome your Spirit, and who live under the reality of Christ’s glory. Where we have grown dull, breathe new life; where we have grown self-reliant, teach us dependence; where we have grown impatient, teach us to wait on your timing, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People by Your Spirit

Thank God for the promise that believers in Jesus do not wait in emptiness forever. Thank him that Jesus has been glorified, that his promise is sure, and that his Spirit is given to those who trust him.

Thank You for the Gift of the Spirit

Name one area where you feel delayed, then ask God for patience and a receptive heart. Ask him to help you trust Jesus, depend on the Spirit, and rest in his timing before you ask for one next step.

Pray While You Wait

Father, help all who believe in Jesus to receive your Spirit with faith and joy. Free us from fear, hurry, and self-reliance. Let the glory of Christ shape our lives, and make us steady in your timing, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Believers to Receive with Faith

Praise Jesus for being glorified. Praise God for keeping his promise to give the Spirit to believers. Worship him for joining glory, promise, and daily dependence into one gracious work.
